Who you are dealing with
Shoogly is James Sim, trading as Shoogly, based in Glasgow, Scotland. These terms apply to any website build, enquiry system or monthly service you take from Shoogly. What exactly is included for your firm is written down before you pay, in the proposal or the invoice, and that document is the one that counts.
What you get
A done-for-you enquiry system built around your business, and, if you take the full package, a website to go with it. We tell you which doors are switched on for your firm (website form, email, calls you log, and from autumn 2026 missed-call text-back and WhatsApp) before any money moves. If a feature is not built yet, we say so.
You review the build at one or two checkpoints. Once you approve it, it goes live. Changes and fixes after that are handled by the person who built it.
Paying
The build is paid half up front and half at go-live, unless your invoice says otherwise. The monthly service starts when your system goes live and rolls month to month. Prices are agreed on the call and set out on your invoice; your monthly never rises while you stay with us.
The 30-day guarantee
Not happy with the build in the first 30 days after go-live? Tell us and you get a full refund on the build. No questions, no exclusions, no fine print. We may ask what went wrong so we can do better, but the refund does not depend on your answer.
Leaving
The monthly service can be cancelled with 30 days’ notice by email. When it ends, the enquiry system stops replying on your behalf. Your website, if we built it, is yours: we hand over the files and the domain stays in your name. Your enquiry records are yours too, exported on request and then deleted from our systems (see privacy).
What the AI will and will not do
The system replies to your customers in your voice. It never quotes a price, never promises a time slot, never gives trade or safety advice, and never denies being AI if a customer asks. Anything sensitive or unusual is held for your approval instead of sent. You can send, edit or discard any reply; what goes out under your name is your call, and you are responsible for the replies you approve.
We aim for every enquiry to be read and answered within minutes, day or night. The AI providers and the messaging channels we rely on are third parties, so we cannot promise the service will never have an outage. When one happens we tell you, and enquiries are never lost: they are logged and dealt with as soon as the service is back.
Your data and your customers' data
Your customers’ enquiries are processed to reply to them and to brief you, and for nothing else. They are not used to train AI models. The full picture of what is kept, where, and how to get it deleted is on the privacy page, which forms part of these terms.
The legal bit that has to be here
These terms are governed by the law of Scotland and any dispute goes to the Scottish courts. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Our liability for any claim is capped at the total you have paid Shoogly in the twelve months before the claim. We will change these terms from time to time; the date at the top tells you when, and anything material we tell you by email first.
